Every time I’m in Bethesda I try making it a point to stop at the store. Some people might think this is just a regular candy store but it’s not. They got lots of specialty candies that you will never find anywhere else. The people that work here are very friendly and very helpful.

I felt like I walked into the Chanel of candy stores. Everything was packaged and arranged so nice and pretty in these cute little boxes. The prices are up there too, but you're basically paying for import items. As expected, their Rose gummies were sold out so I ended up buying a box of the champagne bears, made with Dom Perignon Champagne. So fancy! I guess my taste buds aren't sophisticated enough because they tasted like regular white gummy bears to me. It's a great place to go if you need to impress a girl or need a last minute gift.

Who can take a sunrise / Sprinkle it with dew / Cover it in chocolate / And a miracle or two... The candyman! Or in this case, Sugarfina. Sugarfina is the upscale, chic boutique candystore of your dreams. Everything in the store looks like it belongs in a museum or gallery. The packaging is très mignon, and I think that's what suckered me into the store. I can't help but love the Tiffany blue and white colors. Best sellers include: +Champagne bears (imported from Germany, made with Dom Pérignon vintage champagne in brut and rose flavors) +Sugarfina pearls (imported from Greece, milk chocolate pearls coated in aqua and pearlized white candy shells) +Maple bourbon caramels (infused with Makers Mark bourbon and premium maple sugar) +Champagne bubbles +Single malt scotch cordials (imported from Germany, contains a liquid center of 5% scotch whiskey, marked cask strength) We bought the champagne bears and the single malt scotch cordials. A small cube is $8.50, so it's definitely pricey but I knew that I was paying for the packaging, the import, and the brand more than the actual candies. I was somewhat tempted to get the Kyoto blossoms, these beautiful sugar flowers from Japan, but I've seen them at Asian grocery stores for much less. I've already eaten 3/4 of the champagne bears and two of the cordials. The candies are not extraordinary in any way, but Sugarfina is a fun place to check out. Our two cubes were placed into an equally adorable bag with matching tissue paper. If you're in desperate need of a gift for a girlfriend, this is the place to go.
