  Love this place great selection of baked goods, cheeses, meats and seafood! Always check the flyer to see what is on sale. Especially when steaks are on sale, can't beat the quality and price!

  Recently moved to the area after living abroad and the entire market reminds me of the large open air markets of Europe. Will definitely return. The vegetables are lovely. Heard so much about this place! Definitely worth the trip.

  You know how you go to certain places for certain things? When we are in the area of Danbury we always go to Stew Leonard's for their chocolate drizzled rice cakes, chicken salad, and their many free samples. They always have great meat sales and their selection of prepared foods is endless. Their animated puppets make it festive.

  Stew Leonard's is the primary place for me for produce, and the freshest meat and seafood for my budget. My extended family usually sends me gift cards from Stew's at the holidays and this helps my budget stretch as I will use the cards for meat when there is a sale and freeze it. The staff is always top notch and the cashiers will actually remember you after a few visits. And don't skip the bakery shop . Best store hands down.

  Went to pick up a few random things and grab something from the prepared foods section for a quick dinner. I found everything I needed. The prepared food was delicious. It does take longer to shop there than your typical store, but it is always worth it in my opinion. My only complaint was that about 1/4 of the hot food available looked like it had been sitting out for quite awhile... but the rest looked great.
