::FTB Agent very knowledgeable, courteous, and helpful. We arrived just around 0805, and were helped right away. We were able to resolve our issue and obtain information for future FTB business concerns. Out within 20 minutes, very pleasant experience!

::LA office, we walked in took a number wasn’t to busy waited about 20 minutes the guy at the window was very nice and helped us right away getting documents we needed. Wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be at all must be the time of the year.

::An error made by them and unbeknownst to me, I had a levy for 2012 state taxes. I didn’t live in California that year! In total it cost me $1000. for a $300. judgement. And honestly, it was easier to just pay the damn fine and move on. It would’ve been such a headache to prove them wrong. The state of California is corrupt, right to the core. This is government at its worst.

::Sitting in the LA office right now, our number is next and all the windows have no one in them. This is a waste of our tax paying money. They keep walking back and forth but doing nothing. All we need is a copy of something. Can't do it on line because they won't let you, yet they have awful service. I will get names!

::Terrible Experience with Franchise Tax Board !!! In 2016, I recieved a bill from 2007 saying I owed $182 in taxes from that year. In addition to $182, there was a $100 penalty, then $106.36 interest for a total of nearly $600. As a lower income individual I didn't owe any taxes in 2007. They said to disregard the original bill from 2007. Then it continued to appear every year until I paid it this year. I DO NOT think I owed any taxes the year 2007, however I think Franchise Tax Board took advantage of my situation. In 2007, I earned about $8,000 total which would put me under the income guideline for that year. Now that I paid the bill from 2007, this year in 2016, I hope it won't happen again. It stands out that when I either did not owe that amount and/or was ready to pay that amount the next year, that the telephone agents said to not pay then and that they'd correct the $182.00 bill in their records. I hope the person in charge of this billing error is held accountable. If you are good at accounting and keeping your own personal records, its' hard to identify an employee from 2007, that didn't take of this Franchise Tax Board book keeping error, as requested in my phone call to them in 2008. There may be neglect in this department. The amount I've had to pay in penalty fees now nearly $600 is what I usually use for basic expenses like food and clothing. For people highly paid who work at a business like Franchise Tax Board, they should pay attention to errors like this. The employee I talked to in 2008 by phone, should have helped me work with the bill one way or another at that time, instead of failing to communicate and let it over double in size until this year 2016. There should be people associated with my account, to note that didn't correct this that DID talk to me and that encouraged the bill to double in size, instead of the opposite.
