  This company is horrible. My home was flooded in 2016. The insurance money was held in escrow by Standard M.. Even with the receipts, twice I had to fight to get reimbursed (had pictures, receipts marked as paid, lien releases). At one point they owed me over $40,000 and the second time was over $60,000. When I was unable to make my mortgage payments on time (because of the $ I had paid for repairs, but had not been reimbursed for), I explained that I was waiting to be reimbursed for my rebuilding expenses. What did they do? They destroyed my credit score by almost 300 points with late fees and non-payments..... My mortgage rep was understanding and wanted to help, but it was out over her head. When I finally finished my house, it took over two months for the final inspection to be set up. When i finally called my "recovery officer" for an explanation, I received a voicemail stating she retired with no forwarding information on who was taking over my claim. That would explain why my previous emails went unanswered for weeks prior to my phone call....What a company.... The damage to my credit score almost cost me a very good job too. Luckily, I was able to explain what happened to the company owner......

  My loan was transferred here unfortunately, customer service for this company has been absolutely terrible!!!!! Representatives are little to no help and very rude!!!!

  I've had my loan through Standard Mortgage since 1992, including a refinance. They have never sold my loan, and I like having friendly local service. Friends with different out of state companies, share stories of frustration & no caring staff to take care of them. I highly recommend Standard Mortgage, and I refer them to family and friends.

  My mortgage was sold to this company. Everything was smooth until I asked the very rude CSR Bernie ( New Orleans office) to speak to her supervisor. She responded No then stated he was gone for the day. She offered to also give me his blood type and address. I also had trouble logging into my account online and when I attempted to pay by phone I was unable to speak with anyone. They really need to realize how there salaries are paid and treat there customers better. I will be refinancing with my credit union when the rates are lower. Also it's the 21st century please update your ivr where customers can make payments through it versus speaking with those unprofessional reps!!

  This company is terrific. My Mortgage Lender Emily has been such a pleasure to work with and made this process so much easier. I have been so happy with the service that I will recommend every person I know that is buying a home to give her a call!!
