  This urban farm is really a marvel. They took an unused parking lot and transformed it into a space for organic farming that now produces thousands of pounds of food every year — tomatoes, kale, broccoli, citrus, all kinds of delicious and nutrient-rich food. This food then goes to feed needy individuals in the St. Vincent de Paul dining room and to food boxes distributed to families throughout Arizona. They even have a special greenhouse for aquaponics and hydroponics, closed systems that use water and tilapia to fertilize crops like organic microgreens. The farm is great for individuals, groups, families, students and anyone who wants to volunteer or learn about organic farming!
