::I stayed at the inn for a few months . The owner was an amazingly beautiful older woman . she is old fashioned and very classy. I could see someone with lesser values mistaking these facts for other traits based on their lack of understanding someone of her caliber . I actually miss her dearly and feel terrible that anyone would have anything negative to say about her. the inn was alway immaculate and cleaned regularly . Mrs made home made meals including breakfast . I was amazed at the genuine hospitality. I even helped shovel the entire walk way and side walk out after a huge snow storm to just show her a token of my appreciation. she was that nice . (im not a big shoveler either) staying with her was an experience I will never forget. . the house / inn was amazing also . Thank You

::I can’t believe this place is still in business. I stayed here several years ago, and the owner decided to harass me out of my room because another guest (who hinted she might come back in future years if she got the “better” room then) wanted it. So horribly unprofessional. It wasn’t really a hotel, just rooms in an old lady’s house. You don’t really have much privacy, or even curtesy.

::I have lived at St. Mark's Inn for 9 months now and I love it here. In resposne to Michelle Mattesons review: I knew the Mattesons and believed that Michelle was also happy here until a business disagreement between her husband and Mrs. Liebertz. I am shocked by the personal nature of the remarks in her review. As for the review by "tayo awodumila", neither I nor the owner of St. Marks know who he or she is or when they supposedly stayed here, the name is obviously fictitious. But the accusations are totally false. I would encourage anyone who is interested to come and see the house for themselves and meet Mrs. Liebertz. As I've said, I have lived here nearly a year and I am very happy here as are other residents. It's a lovely place and a great neighborhood. These reviews are very unfair.

::I'm not sure what the last review is talking about. I was in New York about five months ago and stayed at St Marks Inn. I had a really good experience. The location is good. The manager treated me fine. I will probably stay there again in the Spring.

::Very good place to stay and will do so again when in the New York area for an extended length of time. Rooms are very large, clean and well maintained. House is nice. Very authentic New York experience. Very good value for the $$$. Sounds like someone had a communication issue (from reading other post). We have had no problem communicating with the owner/manager and have appreciated the ambience when staying in this house.
