  My 63 year old mother who has stage 4 breast cancer with metastatic disease to the lung and bones and just recently put on narcotics to help with the pain presented with chest, shoulder and back pain after her nightly meds. I monitored her for a couple hours and checked on her she was diaphoretic and could hardly speak. She is under the excellent care of Vassar Brothers medical Center in Poughkeepsie NY. Given the situation I had to call 911 thinking she was having and MI. They had to take her here. It was the middle of the night so I entrusted in their care that she would be ok. She arrived scared and not knowing what was going on as she has never used narcotics in her life. There was a man that said to her “you’re probably on drugs that’s why you don’t know who or where you are”.... then two other men took her for a cat scan treated her like a prisoner. How dare the ‘health care professionals’ treat her this way??? No one could ding her med list, which I found immediately upon arriving to her room. Sitting on the chair. I called tonight to make this right and the Er charge nurse sounded very concerned and considerate. However the woman she transferred me to above her, well let’s say how did you get so far with ZERO people skills or compassion. This hospital is disgusting in every way. How they remain open?? I guess those ‘drug addicts’ that, let me be nice... man referred to my mother as such! I would rather die than to ever go to this place again... save a loved one DON’T TAKE THEM HERE!

  The emergency room staff were all incredibly helpful and kind. An ER visit is never fun for anyone, but the staff were very encouraging and understanding.

  My baby was born there, everyone was so kind and helped me a lot! The maternity is amazing and the staff, nurses and my doctor was awesome with me and my baby! God bless them!

  I can't say enough of about my recent stay at St. Lukes. Everyone was so kind and did there best to make my stay a comfortable one. When I did a short survey on the phone , they asked if I wanted to recognize any one. I have to say everyone was wonderful! Kindness goes along way.

  My husband is being treated like dirt he has had gravely invasive surgery and in danger of blood clots yet he is being treated like dirt. He is a pusher for his health they will be reported they don't know ne. Quite the mouse get me mad the Lion, is in your face hungry and mad!!! Ready to find supervisor superior. The news also with a backup to reduce those to house cleaners! Will be with him all day tomorrow!
