  The church here in Hopewell has no ability to grow because they are so close minded. Every homily is about politics of the church when it shouldn't be. I'm pretty sure this is not the Vatican. I was soon happy when I left this church and moved on. It puts me in an unhappy place. The other churches in lagrangeville are better. In my other post I meant to say the priest lied to me about someone he knew and I knew and he said he didn't know of that parishioner. I went there for adult religious education and then regretted it. It was so many lies. I almost feel like people don't know of what else is better out there. This one is absurd. You shouldn't move by Beekman road either. The closer you live the more they ask you too come and attend and then donate and volunteer... It's ridiculousness

  The night that I attended mass at St. Denis's was a horrible experience. After I informed the priest that I had formally joined the Episcopal church, he refused me Communion. THEN, he started spewing intolerance directed at the LGBT community in his "homily." Although this particular priest is at another parish now, it is probably a safe bet that his successors are cut from the same cloth. (In fact, I have read some of their bulletins). For this reason, I would STRONGLY advise others to avoid this parish.

  A great community Church where you will be made to feel like a member of the community when you enter through the door.

  A beautiful, personal church with an active, caring congregation. We are SO blessed to have Fr. Bob & Fr. Pat, as well as wonderful Deacons! I am so happy that the sermons are relevant and heartfelt. There are ministries of all types to serve the parishioners. The Ark & Dove Pre-school program is the type of program I would have driven out of my way to have my toddlers enrolled in! ALL are welcome at St. Denis.

  I liked other churches in hopewell better. I have always heard negative stories of priests in their personal lives. I don't recommend. Unprofessionalism.
