  I also went to elementary and middle school there and received an excellent education. However, I was also scarred for life from the racist behavior of my fellow classmates, some of whom called me n----r each morning as I passed them in the sanctuary, or declined to include me in their parties citing their parents no blacks rule, or refused to jump rope with me during recess although I knew double dutch, just to name a few. Fortunately, no one can take your education away from you. Years of that education and bad behavior prepared me for Cornell University.

  I went to elementary school there.
