::Went for lunch buffet last week & today. Excellent place for price, quality and variety of dishes, and service. Spent a little over $20 for two. The food is definitely explosive in flavor, & can be spicy. There are chutneys that can cool you down, however. Several delicious vegetarian & meat options -- (whole) eggplant in a tomato sauce w spices, crispy corn masala, chickpea saag, lamb & chicken cooked in a variety of ways, rice prepared in 4 different ways (only one is plain), some soups & more are examples of what they offer. Today we thought they'd have the same dishes as last week, but instead there were some different yet still phenomenal dishes. The vermicelli pudding is so much better than the rice pudding at other places. It has sliced cashews in it, and you can taste the cardamom without biting into the actual seeds. The double kameeta is...WOW. Also, the service is good; not terrible at all as some reviews suggest. The owner is pretty friendly, energetic, and easy to talk to. While we were there we got to watch an exciting game of cricket on TV; Ozzy Osbourne(!) and other music played in the background. Today was better - they played Indian music. It'll make you want to dance. Also, there is a bar... Minus half a star for Spice only because I don't think any place is perfect. This one might be, though?

::I would avoid this restaurant for dinner at all costs. Very very poor service. If you are willing to wait 20 minuets for someone to take your order and an hour for appetizers, go for it. The staff is poorly trained in customer service. They have items on the menu that they don’t serve. This was never informed. When you pick those items, the waiter says “sorry we don’t have those” and expected us to pick an alternative choice quickly with a frustrating look. The owner lacks common sense.

::Wow. Outrageously good. This place will knock your socks off. I seriously have no criticisms. Food is fresh, complex and authentic. The staff and owner are the nicest people you could possibly meet. What a great experience. Come here and enjoy!!

::I have visited Spice while I was vacationing in San Antonio with my family. I was looking for Indian places nearby and found Spice with good reviews on both Yelp and Google reviews. Decided to give it a shot. To our surprise food was very tasty and price was super affordable. I have been to many Indian restaurants in US over the past eleven years, I would say Spice is one of the best Indian places I have visited for value, food taste, quality, quantity, and service. Ambience in the restaurant is very good too. Owner of the restaurant is a fellow Indian, he treated us like his family. We are very impressed by his hospitality. If you are in mood for some good Indian food and are in San Antonio, look nowhere else. Buffets are an amazing value, try those if you are going there for lunch. Dinner menu is excellent too. Keep up the good job Spice team. Hoping to see more franchises in the US soon. Good luck.
