  Sucks. They are so mean. Teachers be really rude a racist I hated it. Made me cried when I thought of all the things that happened at this school while I was there.

  Minneapolis South Senior High School has historically been a very progressive and powerful senior high-school located in south Minneapolis, Minnesota (The Corcoran Neighborhood Community.) Minneapolis South Senior High School offers great AP, CIS, and honors academic programs that serves the most racially diverse student background within the midwestern area to say the least. Minneapolis South Senior High School has been historically known as a very welcoming, loving, and affirming place for students from all different cultural backgrounds as well; such as members of the GLBT community! They literally have one of the best fine arts programs within the midwestern area as well! What makes Minneapolis South Senior High School uniquely distinctive is indeed their diversity. Their individual diversity is so GREAT! I had the privilege of attending this senior high-school and was a graduate of the class of 2015. I remember when I started in August of 2011 and I was first exposed to many different races and cultural backgrounds. I was educated in a roman catholic school from (Kindergarten-8th Grade) in which my grade school was literally all latinx by the time I graduated from that school (Risen Christ Catholic School) Since my arrival and to the time I graduated, I learned how to be open minded and loving to all different types of backgrounds (African-American, Latinx, Native-American, GLBT, and etc.) They have wonderful instructors who have historically and still to this day worked/work tirelessly to ensure that each and every one of their students are academically successful in their schoolwork and successful within their development as youth personally. The three memorable words that I will remember Minneapolis South Senior High School will unquestionably be (Diverse, Progressive, And Unique) GO TIGERS!!!

  I lasted one year there and switched high schools. I couldn't handle just being a number. I fell through the cracks and no one seemed to care enough to help. My brother went here and did fine, so it's not just a terrible school, but for anyone who struggles, this is not the place for them.

  I was at a multi-day trip with my school from Wisconsin at a Eagle Bluff which is like a natural resources learning program that teaches you about the planet and how to take care of it, and students from this school came a day after us. Very disrespectful, loud, and obnoxious students whose advisers don't do a whole lot when it comes to discipline. During the night when sleeping hours were from 10 P.M. to around 6 A.M. South's students were constantly up and running, stomping, etc. making nearly impossible for any people on the bottom floor to get sleep. Students show zero respect for those teaching presentations. An example was one of their students kindly flipped off another student from is class in front of everyone except the presenter and the advisers of that persons school did nothing. No discipline, respect, or care for anything. Awful kids and community to be around
