  Friendly, honest, and very fair prices. We've stuck with Sotire's for years... Even since we've moved from Stamford to Wilton four years ago, we are happy to make the trip back to Stamford because we know our vehicles will always be in reliable hands.

  STAY AWAY!!!!!! We had to pay the Volkswagen dealer $132.4 to fix a problem Sotire created. We took our car(2003 Jetta Volkswagen TDI Wagon) to Sotire because the driver's side window fell into the door. I called Sotire to see if this is something that they could fix. Mr. Sotire said sure. We left the car there and were told we needed a window regulator. Total parts and labor and tax $398.80. We picked up the car that afternoon and noted that the door panel was not on completely because some of the plastic pins had been broken when taking the panel off.(Why tell us the car is ready if the door panel is not on correctly) We were told to bring the car back the next day but then received call to bring it the day after. My wife and I brought the car and left it there. About 4 pm we went to pick up the car and I noted that the windows were half way down which I assumed was because it was hot that afternoon. My wife drove off and in less than a minute tried to raise the windows which were down and none worked. We brought the car right back and were told to leave the car there again for another day. Later the next day about 4 pm, Mr. Sotire called me and said that they could not figure out what was wrong and that we would have to bring it to a Volkswagen dealer because they had a "special computer". Mr. Sotire tried to tell me that their working on one window was totally unrelated to the fact that none of the windows worked. He also tried to tell me that all the windows were up when I saw with my own eyes that they were half way down.I brought it to Volkswagen dealer and paid the $125 diagnostic fee plus $7.94 tax. They found that the problem was a simple 10amp fuse which Sotire had blown. I called Mr. Sotire and told him they should reimburse me for the money I paid Volkswagen dealer. He said is was all coincidence that they did not blow the fuse and that their working on one window had nothing to do with all the windows suddenly not working. I asked him what kind of "auto diagnostic center" are they if they can not even diagnose a blown fuse? This place is incompetent, they did not pay attention to detail, they blew a fuse and could not even diagnose it themselves, and then tried to lie and tell me and my wife that the windows were working and were up when we picked up the car which we saw with our own eyes was not the case.
