  The selection is incredible and the staff are helpful. While they specialize in punch rock and similar, other genres are well represented.

  Fun record store with a wide variety of genres. Comfortable environment and convenient placement in downtown Raleigh.

  This is the most organized record store I’ve come across. Shopping is such a pleasure. They even sort the bargain vinyls! They focus on punk and rock, but have a decent selection of other genres. Will be back.

  Great local Record Shop. It's one of two that I frequent in the downtown Raleigh area. I believe they focus more on Punk and heavy music, but I found it to be quite a diverse selection there. They have a selection of new records and a larger section of used. They also include a polyvinyl cover for the record when you purchase it.

  I really like the atmosphere of Sorry State. It had that punk rock feel so I felt right at home. I was able to thumb through all of the records all while not being sold to by a salesman; I was left to my own devices. But when I asked for help to see if they had any bands I like, the gentleman behind the desk was quick to assist me with their digital lookup system. Great place with a cozy atmosphere, I'll have to go back the next time I'm in Raleigh.
