  The hotel view has 5* rating , but service is not so . No basic amenities like coffee in the lobby for customers instead you charge 5.5$ which is not a good hospitality . I’m a business traveler and I had registered on my 3rd party site also small hotels offer coffee . The housekeeping was pathetic , I had informed personnel to the receptionist in the lobby they didn’t offered service.when I called back the receptionist guy saying you have to schedule one day before ?? I never seen in any hotels this kind of reply and later next day the housekeeping came but no bed making , no bathroom cleaning was done . Only the garbage was removed . Sorry guys building a hotel front of sea is not mean that best hotel , your service matters . Thanks you William for the response , I understand on housekeeping but need more training on room cleaning I guess. I got your point on coffee services .

  The hotel is in a great location. Easy access to stores and transportation and the rooms are quite nice. I was however disappointed by afew things; I stayed there for 8 days and got house keeping once when I asked. I was not informed that it was by request upon arrival. The room charge increased after 3 days for some reason room charge changed after 3 days stay. That was not expected. I was told the cost for parking was $25 straight fee but it ended up as cost per day. I called to talk to someone after I had a chance to review the bill and got hang up on 3 times. It is unfortunate. The stay was OK for me. Other than location and a place to stay the rest was dissapointing.

  Enjoyed my stay at the sonata Emeryville. The room was very comfortable, the location was very convenient. It is right off the highway but close to lots of shops and food that are walking distance. The service was a little slow down at the bar when I did order food, but that's to be expected with labor shortages. The room was updated as far as the decor however the bathroom could use a few upgrades. Overall I do recommend this location if you're ever in the Bay area

  Was here for work in Oakland, i was on the second floor, I got a view of San Francisco. Such a beautiful view , got to watch the sun set over San Francisco, just amazing..the only negative thing I can say about this place is the hotel doesn't have much going on inside of it (food. ...)but has a bar. On the other hand it's a great location, there's a mall right across the street, there stores and shops on every side of it.. plenty places to eat.. just a great location..

  The place was great but a little small for a family of 4. We had a good view from the window of the bay and the freeway ha! Great location though as you are able to walk from the hotel to Barnes and Nobel and many other shops and restaurants
