::When it works; it works. When it doesn't it doesn't. I have over 16 stays at different Sonders in the US (several have been multiple month stays). This Sonder location however is the worse. I actually feel like the service has gone down over the past 1.5 years. I have stayed in the Butler building Sonder several times and I have had decent rooms and no big problems. Some minor issues that could have been easily resolved, but due to terrible service in this particular Sonder, they failed to rectify. But my last experience tops all. As many reviews state, some rooms in this building have a horrible smell to them. Unfortunately I got assigned one of those rooms. When I asked for help i was told this is a building issue, and there were no more available rooms. Not a great answer. But that being the case I have asked for a refund because this is day 1 of a 19 day booking. If there is no refund, it will for sure be my last time staying at any Sonder in the future. They are usually pretty good. But they are failing at this one.

::It’s unsafe to stay here. Security is MIA. Parking is valet only. There was a tornado warning, so I asked the guy if I could park myself because we were outside with no shelter for 10 minutes when there was a perfectly good parking spot to my right. He was completely inflexible and wouldn’t let us do it. I was going to give one star but I’ll give two extra stars for the way the hotel tried to make up for the terrible experience I had here. Still, I won’t be returning.

::The room is nice I cannot argue that part. The building is surrounded by homeless and smells of urine. They need security as well cause at night the homeless sneak in and sleep in the lobby and hang out in the bathrooms charging their phones. Makes it feel very unsafe especially if you are staying here with small children.

::Please stay away from this property. I booked here for a Conference for a 5 night stay. When we tried to get into our hotel room the key card was not working. So we tried speaking to the staff in house who were not helpful at all. They gave me a number to call customer service. Eventually after 3-4 hours of going back and forth with customer service it was figured out that the electricity in the unit was not working. Meanwhile nobody that worked in the actual building would even get up to help. They rebooked us for 1 night in a nearby hotel and said that they would call in the morning with updates on the electricity. Nobody called the next morning. Had to check out of the other booking by 11am. Was without a place to stay the next morning with nobody in the hotel checking in on whether the unit was fixed or not. Ended up missing the whole next day of conference as I had to find a place to stay as well as receive my refund from Sonders. Not a reliable place. Terrible customer service.

::Booked the place for five days. The place is located downtown in à most insecure neighborhood. Entrance by a kind a broken door. Horrible smell inside, place hasn’t been cleaned for age but the best is still to come…impossible to get the keys of the room, no reception, no help, no answer on the phone. Over twenty people were there, some sleeping on the floor waiting to be informed how to enter their room. Obviously I left and booked another hotel on the spot. The worse is still to come, the management contacted by Expedia refused to refund me. Worse experience ever. Beware.
