One of my preferred Thai places in the city. I have never had a bad meal here. The place is small and they can get busy so I would recommend making reservations.

The brown sauce is phenomenal, mango juice and Thai tea are nice. I ordered shrimp rice, my husband ordered beef noodles spice level 30 πŸ˜‚!! They were very fast and the server was very nice! She even custom ordered my kids plain noodles which wasn’t on the menu. Very helpful!

The food was fantastic and the service was top notch. I’m not sure what the brown sauce is made from but it’s the best I have ever tasted. We ended up pouring it on almost everything. This place is in my top 3 of Thai places in Pittsburgh

If I could give Smiling banana, leaf a 1/2 star, I would. The front desk lady was rude and borderline racist. I went to Smiling Banana leaf with friends (a Nigerian and two Indians) for the first time and got there early. We were told that we got too early and had to wait a while. After about 10 minutes, we decided to order take-out. Immediately, we started ordering, two different couples came in with no reservation and was immediately seated. (we know this because they were asked if they had a reservation and they both said no). Although we didn't cause a scene, I would never visit this establishment again because they obviously need to be better-mannered people.

One of the best noodles I've had in a long time. It is a bit far away (only because I don't own a car) but the food made the trip worth while. If you've got a noodle craving then I suggest you hop into your vehicle, set the google map coordinates for this beautiful little restaurant and ......... Well you'll see once u get there.
