  Really liked the yellow curry! This place has good food and loads of beverage options.

  I visited Slake today and had the Entrée Special, Antipasto Salad with Mixed Greens, Chopped Salami, Artichoke Hearts, Cherry Tomatoes, Kalamata Olives, Fresh Mozzarella and Balsamic Vinaigrette. It was fresh, nice mixture of flavors and tasty dressing. Very Nice!

  This was our first time here and it was so disappointing. We ordered sandwiches at the beginning of lunchtime and both my and my husband's meat was super dry and you couldn't taste any of the awesome sounding flavors (like queso) described on the menu. Size of the sandwiches appeared half-size instead of full size. We only finished our food because we were starving and it cost too much to toss. Definitely expected more for an $11 sandwich with no side.

  I come here frequently for takeout, as I work directly across the street .Mostly a breakfast item, sometimes lunch .On occasion, we will order group lunch for many people for meetings. Things they do well: the baked goods are consistent, almost never stale. Nice breads . Catered lunches typically come with names written on them for easy distribution . Things that could be improved: consistency and speed with hot items .I've had the same sandwich lovingly prepared, stacked thoughtfully (spreading of ingredients; proportions) and heartily, only other times to have a thin mess with the bottom bread dripping with grease . Curries rich and delicious, or thin with overcooked ingredients .Hot items can sometimes take a long time for a quick service place .Yeah, I get that you cook to order, but still...and it doesn't always have a direct relation to how busy it is .Finally, counter staff can be distracted and inattentive. All that being said, I like Slake. I just wish it brought it to the next level .

  *Update* Reducing stars after I realized how big of a scam the to-go orders are. You get half the food for the exact same price as dining in. They either need to get bigger to-go containers or reduce the cost. And I'm not talking delivery orders... There is no reason that I should be charged for a full order and get a half when I'm coming in to pick it up. Ridiculous. I only realized this after getting the same thing two days in a row and the second day they were so busy I had to get my food to-go since there was no seating available. ____ Quick and easy lunch. Large selection of items food and drink. Fast service, came during lunch rush but had my food shortly after I sat down. Looks like they have a great bar selection, tho I didn't drink anything.
