::Hands down, the BEST buttermilk biscuit I’ve ever had. They don’t skimp on the size, it’s fluffy inside and the outside is crunchy but soft, and if you get it right out of the oven, your life will change. This is my new weekly treat. I am lactose intolerant, but this is my exception. Also, the Wilson sandwich and spiced apple cider are divine.

::Neat little coffee shop. I was looking to see if they had a specials menu and went with the lavender honey latte, my wife had an iced coffee. Both drinks were a bit milk-heavy, mine had a distinct floral flavor from the lavender with light sweetness from the honey. Coffee was slightly bitter... Not bad, just not the kind of coffee flavor profile we usually go for.

::This review is purely based on the Ethiopian single origin Americano I ordered. It was simply so delicious. It’s not very often that I come across a coffee shop that is able to make Americanos well, but Sweet Science really hit mark! One thing I noticed almost immediately is that they were very intentional about the quality of water they use in making their drinks. I work as a barista myself and I do my own research on these topics, and water plays a massive role in the overall brewing process and the final cup! *Backstory: I was originally trying to order a pour over, but due to some some short-staffing issues, they had to pause the offering :/ I hope they’re able to bring that option back soon!!

::The best coffee in Washington DC is also available in Arlington! It's great to have top-tier specialty coffee in Northern Virginia, finally. The coffee, usually a light roast, is delicious. And the food -- biscuits and cinnamon rolls especially -- is just as good. Baristas are super friendly and knowledgeable, and it's a great place to hang out and talk or get work done while the music plays lightly in the background. Make sure to stop in for a cup!

::Born in Washington, D.C., this location is Sweet Science Coffee's second location. (The first is in NoMa and previously Adams Morgan via a pop-up.) Within walking distance from the Courthouse Metro Station, it's along Wilson Blvd aka "Coffee Corridor." Within blocks of each other is a series of coffee shops- Kino Coffee, For Five, Rako and Sweet Science Coffee. Here's why you should visit Sweet Science Coffee: 1) Coffee (+ Technique): Brewing D.C.'s Small Planes Roastery beans, they are hyper local. To get the most out of the beans' flavor, they brew using seven different techniques. It's like watching a science experiment that turns out well every time. My latte was well balanced. 2) Space: It's a small space, but they make good use of it. It's well designed with a few tables and comfy chairs inside. There's a single bathroom inside and a medium-sized outside patio. There's an old mural on the side. 3) Amenities: They have free wifi and free dog biscuits!
