::We planned to hit a few bars on Beale St. After having an incredibly horrible experience at the Patio Bar (stay away). We wandered into Silkeys. Like night and day it was a haven of great music, good food and tasty beverages. We saw two bands play. One was a kick ass blues whose woman vocalist was amazing. Then a rock band came on and tore the place up. The service was exceptional and there was much dancing through the night. We might try other clubs next time we're in Memphis but will be returning to Silkeys to finish off the night.

::Walked in to the patio a waiter told us to sit down and someone would wait on us. Waited a long time numerous waitress and waitresses passed us...we were right in the walking path for them NOT ONE stopped and asked us if we needed anything. The only reason I have it one star was the music. We are still on the patio.. Getting our own drinks.. Sad choice for them because we are awesome tippers.

::If you wanna eat spare-ribs (which you must when you are on Beale St!) this really is the place to be! They are extremely friendly, leave you alone when you want to, but also talk with you if you want that. The atmosphere is great here. It's calm, but still some music on the background. I also like the fact it wasn't too dark in here during the day like some other restaurant. The food. Best spare ribs I have ever had in my entire life! You also get some cole slaw and sweet brown beans. And it's not that expensive either! I don't know when I will be back in Memphis, but I will go back here some day for SURE. Can't go wrong here!

::Just remember your not going here for fine dining. Good atmosphere and patio area. A classic live music, always packed bar where your shoes stick to the floor and there's not paper towels in the bathroom. Our waitress was friendly and helpful. The dry-rub ribs were moist but were not packed with a ton of flavor. All 6 of use ended up putting barbecue sauce on them. I would recommend if your looking for a bit while on Beale Street.

::Good times but don't make this your Memphis BBQ experience. BBQ nachos ok, but don't stray from there. This place is best in the early evening outside listening to music enjoying a beer or three. The piano bar singer is..meh..Lastly..go ahead and do it..buy the damn "diver " bucket. You and your friends will have fun with it!
