  My son (Ethan) has been attending Shotokan Karate for over 2 years now. Prior to that, he was in different martial arts center that wasn’t as strict and kids were just playing around as they wished. Since starting Shotokan, I definitely noticed that my son had become more responsible and respectful. Sensei Nerik is very strict (as he should be) and doesn’t let the kids just “fool around”. He expects discipline in class. My son appropriately progressed up to a purple belt and wants to continue until he reaches black belt. He comes home and practices his moves without me even reminding or forcing him to do it. He attends 3 days a week and never wants to skip a class no matter how tired he is. Sensei Nerik’s son (Ben) also in this school. He is only 12 y/o and already has a black belt. He is a total karate genius and is an inspiration for other kids. I highly recommend Shotokan Karate if you want your child to develop good discipline, social and defense skills.

  Best karate studio for kids. Amazing instructors and classes. Would highly recommend. Probably the best in Queens.

  This family and kid friendly studio is the best! Kids have a lot of fun learning the basic principles of karate. My son loves this place and always comes with enthusiasm. I have seen the results already and looking forward to bringing my other kids as soon as they grow up a bit. Keep it up sensei!!!
