  Very disappointed with food, portions were tiny compared to other basque restaurants I have eaten at, barely enough for our group. Soup for example was served in a size bowl that is a single serving size at any other restaurant in this case was to serve 4 adults. It was mostly watery broth. There was not enough salad for each person at our table and one entree was served well after the other three, over 20 minutes later. The excuse was that it was chicken. Also only dark meat chicken was available. Very disappointing.

  Family style is the best way to experience the Shepards Inn. Just go into the bar and order a Bloody Mary (very good and very reasonable) and ask the bartender for tickets for the next meal and then sit back and wait for the bell. Go with friends or make some there. Always great conversation and friendly staff. Try it for breakfast, lunch or dinner. I highly recommend the Shepards Inn.

  My buddy and I went on a saturday afternoon. Not to busy when we got there but it got busy around 4p. The bartender greeted us right away and got our drinks quickly. She was nice and pleasant. There is metered parking in front of the building. Parking is free on the weekends. There's a 7 11 just to the right if needed. There's 4 tv screens inside. The Olympics were on when we got there. They have many drink specials on the board and a nice large wine list as well as a large list of whiskeys. Nice place to stop for a drink.

  Normally the food is great . I have never had to send my food back. Ever. In 20 yrs that I had been going there. But my lamb was black burned on the outside and it didn't taste good at all. My friend fish and chips comb also was not good. They did take off the lamb but not the fish . The rest of the Shepard meal was great. Idont know if they had a new chef but someone needs more training in cooking meals and need to change out there deep dryer oil as well. Looking to go back and have great dinner again.
