::SCAMMER be warned. This is a horrible establishment. Owner, Herman did a chop job on my car. Spent 2k to have entire exhaust replaced and come to find out the only thing they did was weld the exhaust mount back to a rusted exhaust pipe. Had another mechanic look at it as I was stuck and they showed me that nothing I paid for was actually replaced. It was all completely rusted out from front to back. Called this sham of a business hoping they would fix my now non running vehicle (exhaust is hanging off car) and was told a myriad of lies. First they are under new ownership? Interesting since I just dealt with the same owner I dealt with when I had the repair. Herman who has apparently been there for years is now a new owner! Seems like he is just shilling all the bad reviews by changing company names. Then the guy claims he is not the mechanic and I never dealt with him, another lie since he is the guy I handed my money to. It's really sad that this type of immoral behavior is backed by a company like Shell. This guy should be investigated and Shell should take away his franchise rights. STAY AWAY!

::Conveniently located in the center of town, but there gas prices are always a little more than other gas stations. They have a mechanics garage that many people, including myself, go to for oil changes and state inspections. They are one of the only places that has a free air-pump. very handy.

::This place has gotten some really nasty reviews, but please note that they are in the past. I live across the street from this gas station, and started using them for basic maintenance more than three years ago. Now, no one likes paying for car repairs. It's inconvenient and one always thinks the prices are too high. But once, when I had a crisis of faith, I took my aging, limping car (it's a fourteen-year old Camry) to two other places for estimates AND THEY WERE HIGHER. So I've become a convert. Both Billy and Hermann have treated me fairly: that is, when I bring my car in because it's making some horrible noise, they point out where the leak or the defect is, give me a price, tell me approximately how many hours of labor I will be dealing with, and the bill comes out to be reasonably near the estimate. I don't have any complaints, and I think this is an honest business. If you want to protest an hourly labor rate or the cost of an inspection, I empathize: it's expensive to own a car! But you will be guaranteed fair treatment at this Shell. And the employees -- the fellows who fill people's gas tanks, check tires, and do the mechanical work -- have always been polite, which is a big plus to me. P.S. I have spent several thousand dollars on my car (I can show you the bills) and I am no one's brother-in-law. I've written this because it needs to be written.
