I went to this place with my girlfriend on our way home today for a quick stop to get a drink. We only had 10 bucks cash left on us after our other shopping, and I had forgotten the card, so I told my girlfriend to just get a slushee (1.99 for what they call a large, and it's about a third of the size of comparable slushees in the area, but that's not what this review is about). I asked for a pack of marlboro cigarettes for my father. 6.58 plus tax. My girlfriend used tongs to get some dad's cookies out of the jar, 4 for a dollar. She got 8 of them and put them in bags. When she got up to the counter, the lid popped off her slushee and a very small amount, approximately one ounce, of slushee came out and got on her wrist. The clerk and I used napkins to wipe her arm. He said go ahead and top off the cup. I went to do so at the machine and wiped the cup off. Very little spilled. I returned to the counter, where the clerk rang up these items and said that my total was 19 dollars and change. I said that's not possible, we only have a slushee, cigarettes, 8 cookies, and also a 2 dollar bag of cotton candy. My girlfriend hadn't kept track and we were over ten dollars. But still, no where near 20 dollars. The counter is such that a customer cannot view what the clerk has rung up on his register. I asked him to give me an itemized list and he immediately grew angry. We were taking longer than normal and inconveniencing him, apparently. I put the cotton candy back because we were over ten dollars, and still he was saying we owed more than ten. Turns out, the clerk had RANG US UP FOR A SECOND DRINK WE DIDNT BUY, he rang us up for a second slushee, and said nothing about it. 1) We never spilled our first one in such a way as to need a replacement. 2) EVEN IF we had, WHICH WE DIDNT, most gas stations I've been to, if there's a spill of a fountain drink, that's such a high margin item that they just let you get another one. NEVER IN MY LIFE has a place tried to charge me for two drinks, when we clearly never had but one drink! We did top it off, and clean the cup using their napkins, but we didn't even get a new cup! And the amount added was LITERALLY about an ounce, an inch in the cup vertically. And this was received at the behest of the clerk himself, who said to go ahead and do that! At this point I complained, and the clerk informed me that we somehow still owed over 15 dollars, and was being very obtuse about how. I said I didn't want any of it, and having already handed him my ten dollars, I just wanted to pay for the slushee and go. At first, he refused to give us our money, he said that the cookies were hot goods, and the slushee was likewise treated (saying this despite the fact that I said I'd pay for it). The cookies we never touched, having used tongs, and they come from a jar. The clerk at this point was aggressive, giving me the stink eye, an attempt at physical intimidation. If I hadn't been doing BJJ for almost a decade, and been much larger than him, I'd have been frightened, and I felt like he was a loose cannon, a potentially violent individual. Anyway, he had been talking to an older, balding, gray haired caucasian fellow with glasses if I recall, who turned out to not be a customer loitering, but the owner. And the owner began yelling at us. He gave us our ten dollars back after arguing about whether or not we had the right to leave the goods behind and just take our money, or if we'd be forced to pay for the "hot goods," (cookies). Meanwhile he didn't address that the clerk was overcharging us by several dollars even with everything considered, had falsely charged that we had spilled an entire slushee and had to get a new one, charging us for two of them, and he pointed this out to us with a mean face! What an A**hole! I couldn't believe it. Never in my life. So the owner gives us our ten dollars back, and we leave. A customer behind us, witnessing the entire ordeal we were put through, set his goods down and left as well. This also made the owner angry. I don't know how a place stays in business!

Do not do BUY/SELL/TRADE meets here. The owner had a fit about it today and embarrassed me badly. He was loud, rude, and crude. He suggested I give him 50% of my sale or meet somewhere else. He made other rude comments too like he's not selling beer in my driveway. The entire time I remained calm, quiet, polite and respectful, but he was itching to argue while I was saying yes sir and I understand. I buy something every time I'm there. Gas, coffee, sodas, cigarettes. The people I meet there I've often seen buying gas, drinks, using the ATM. I will never be back. By the way, I'm well dressed, clean, middle aged, etc. There was no excuse for his behavior at a tax funded police substation.
