::It’s the worst apartment I have ever lived in... very old apartment and they never fix anything. I had water shut down 4 times in one month....... it’s just nuts.. can’t wAit to move out soon....

::Great location and friendly staff! Downside is the buildings haven’t been updated since the Vietnam war and you have to risk lung disease each year from all the black mold. You also have to share your apartment with rodents and they don’t help with the rent payment. Be careful by the trash cans at night because that’s the sewer rats territory after 7. Also be careful taking a shower. The water will either scald the skin off your body or give you hypothermia without warning.

::I've been here about a year now. I would say the first few months were okay. Be prepared for cockroaches, be prepared to be scared to approach the trashcans outside due to very large rats, and be prepared for your apartment to fall apart. Originally, I thought I was getting a good deal due to the price - pay the extra 200-300 and go with a better apartment. They raise the amount $100 dollars every year - without making any changes to improve your apartment. Since I have lived here in 12 months, my car has been hit in the parking lot (big scrape on the side) I asked Sheffield to cover the $65.00 a month charge for that month since they do not have cameras and were unable to provide me with the information of who hit my car , leaving me unable to file a report - they told me "file a police report" and then didn't care. My bathroom ceiling collapsed. My heat has broken twice (once over 24 hours - I left them three voicemails and put in 2 service requests) with no response. It was broken at 7:15AM when I put in a service request (someone came to look - left a note saying they'd be back and never came back to fix it) I got home around 6:30PM left three voicemails and eventually vacated my apartment at 7:00PM because it was 55 degrees. The next morning I called the leasing apartment - they had not addressed any of my emails, calls, or service requests and seemed "surprised" no one had answered me. I had to take my pet and leave for the night because it was 14 degrees outside. It's just really not worth it, you'll be thankful you didn't move here.

::I've lived at Sheffield Court for 6 years. It is my time here that has allowed me to save for my first home which is the only reason I'm leaving -- and I'm sad to go. My favorite part of living here? The quiet, off-the-beaten-path, real-community feel. It's accessible to everything and truly feels like home. Look, apartment living isn't perfect. But when things were amiss, the Sheffield Court team was responsive and made it right. The maintenance team is amazing, especially Everrett! I'm sad to be going, but excited for whoever gets to move into my place and experience "The Sheff" for themselves.
