  I was a Young Adult camper at Camp Shane for two years. My summers spent at Camp Shane changed my life. Not only did I lose nearly 30 pounds in 6 weeks, but I was also able to bring my new found knowledge of nutrition back to college with me and maintain my weight loss, while only having access to a dining hall. During camp, I attended Spinning classes, something I would never have imagined trying at home. It introduced me to an exercise that I absolutely love and I have continued taking classes since. Camp Shane is the place that I found myself. It gave me confidence that I never imagined I could have and I can't express how grateful I am for that. Although I only spent two summers at Shane, it was those two summers that helped to ensure that I would live a healthier and overall longer life.

  We Had a terrible Experience at Camp Shane and the response from Owner was disappointing. He wrote us a letter stating our daughter who fell on their slippery, wet stairs "OVER-REACTED" and she must have fabricated how badly she was hurt when she went to E.R. Maybe thats why the camp never called or informed us? We still cannot figure out why our daughter's well being and health meant so very little. We now have thousands in hospital bills and unfinished camp. NONE was reimbursed even though they did fix stairs after two more girls fell. SHAME SHAME SHAME.
