::Being from NY, It's difficult to find good out of state pizza. Serious Pizza fit the bill and then some. Great food, great atmosphere! Deep Ellum is a charming area worth a visit, and Serious Pizza will always be a stop on my Texas trips!

::Went today to try out their pizza after work. I immediately noticed the young lady in the kitchen area. At first glance I thought she was a cashier but at closer observation, I realize she is working in the kitchen area. I noticed that she would touch multiple surface/items and then with her bare unwashed hands handle a customer's slice of pizza. She then returned to reading something on her phone, writing, touching oven handles, etc and again with unwashed hands another customer's food with bare hands. I wait to see what actually what she does with my food, (I am still wearing my work scrub BTW) she figures out out or assumes that I would be watching to see if she touches my food with her nasty unwashed hands. She actually DOES NOT handle my food with her hands. Now, why would she not give that same respect to their other customers. Yes, I do watch and pick up quickly food prep worker are handling food without washing hands. Yes, I work in the medical field and don't want my food handle with dirty hands but I am sure everyone else would want the same. SHAMEFUL!!!!!

::Price was good for size of pizza. Pizza was just okay, had to wait for like 45 mins for pizza but the place was packed so understandable. Atmosphere was good but female cashier was not very welcoming. If we go back to the area id probably check out somewhere different. Give the whole experience more like 3.5 stars.

::First time visit left a good impression. The pizza was very good and the slices are seriously huge!!! Each cheese slice is $3 and some chance and each additional topping is $.75. A great place to grab a quick bite on the way to a concert in the area or after leaving one! It was pretty crowded during my visit, but food still came out fast. My only reason for not 5 stars is the tables and seats were old and dirty. I had to clean off a table on my own to have a place to sit. Overall a great place and would visit again.

::The pizza is great - no complaints. The prices are decent, too, especially for the Huge Slices and their basic but fresh salads. The place itself is filthy. Yes, the seats in the booths are all ripped up, as part of the restaurant's "thing" (dive with good food). This is weird, though oddly not completely off-putting. But the bathrooms are really disgusting, with sewer flies, empty towel dispensers, dirty toilets, broken toilet tanks, and just general grunge. Please please, Serious Pizza, clean up your act.
