  Omg what an awesome bar !!! Visiting from okc and heard about this place . This bar has an really cool concept (video games and alcohol ) ! They have a mix of the old school donkey Kong and mortal with the latest Xbox games ! Manager Cubby was awesome, totally upbeat and fantastic ! The bar tender Philip was on point with drinks and told us about other local places to eat and drink, the door guy Cody was a cool cat and joined in on the punching bag game with my fiancé ! This bar has a great atmosphere, service, old school games and one great staff!

  Select start not only plays on 80's-90s babies nostalgia, but brings back the old school deep ellum vibe. Come for games new and old, plus fantastic cocktails. A great unpretentious add to deep ellum. Love this place. It's my new favorite bar. Xbox one and PS4 online gaming streamed on twitch.

  New bar in the Deep Ellum scene that is reminiscent of “The Pharmacy” before it. They have a small selection of arcade games that are more for design rather then practicality. Drink are well done, and it the staff was eager to meet new people. Select Start has a long way to go, but they are definitely off to the right “start.”
