  I have a Kenmore washer that was only 2 yrs. old and had worked fine - luckily I did buy the Sears Protection Agreement. Right before this past Christmas - Dec. 2017 - the washer would sometimes spin but more often than not I would find a load of soaking wet clothes and have to try and get the machine to spin. Couldn't get an appt. due to the holidays until January 2018. Between then and now (May 2018) I had 6 repairmen come to the house and replace various parts as every time they replaced one thing - the machine still did not work properly - so they replaced another part. This has gone on for the past 5 months - The repairs as per the receipts they gave me at each visit total over $1,000 which again, I did not have to pay as I paid for the service agreement BUT this machine was only a little over $300??!!! I asked several times for a replacement but was told no - I had to get it fixed. This is why Sears is going out of business - how ridiculous to spend all that money on parts & labor on a cheap machine (more than 3x its worth) than simply replace it for $300+. What a nightmare. Right now its working as I think every single part in the machine has been replaced - let's hope so.!

  While it would have been nice that the first service tech had all the parts he needed, the second tech was able to repair the machine with the parts ordered.

  repairs seem to be working properly. Communication with C & E Appliance Repair very poor. Communications with Sears Repair just as bad.

  Did what needed to be done. We have been pleased with Sears service for many years. We purchase many appliances from Sears because we want that service. Even on other appliances we have gotten service agreements and the service has been very good.

  Unfortunately, the tech was not aware of the problem I had, and did not have the leveling kit with him as promised when I set up the appointment. Fortunately, the fix he made was far better than what the kit would have provided, and he was willing to do much more work to get it done than I would have expected. So, thanks to this tech for his efforts, and no thanks to Sears for their lack of follow through.
