::Opened what should have been a fairly easy loan that was made very complicated. Given to a loan officer who said that he had never done a loan like this..I was the experiment. Branch said one thing main office said another. The loan closed last week 1st account was funded. Over a week later the 2nd account has not received their payment. Called main office; went into the Hillcrest branch. What happened to the money? They don't know and they don't care. They both said just wait. Scarey

::Financial Service Rep - Vao Mailo! This is an employee that is ENDEMIC of what is wrong with SDCCU: Entitled, dismissive, disdain, and unprofessional. Seriously, SDCCU has been riding the long tailcoats perception versus reality for a while. SDSCCU was cute when I had a Savings account given to me by my Grandparents, to use whenever I came and visited them here from Canada. Today? You are on your way to becoming a local equivalent of Wells Fargo. And Vao? You might as well make her an Executive Vice-President, because since you will not fire her, just promote her. Are you afraid of her because she is a woman of colour? Well, I'd be happy to testify against her on your behalf, at her unemployment hearing since I am a person of colour, and race has NOTHING to do with her being an utterly lousy employee. SDCCU, you had a chance of handling my Stateside banking, but you only need to thank Vao for sending me to the great folks at California Coast. I had 3 different run-ins with this woman, and thought maybe it was me . . . but I watched her deal with others in the same fashion, and they seemed stunned by her insolence too. I watched her, because the Branch is crowded and SLOW. Vao clearly has her favourites, which is fine, but I did not come to SDCCU looking for a friend, I was looking for a business partner. However, you allowing her to run amok, told me to take my business elsewhere. AND I am sure you know about how bad Vao can be, so this review is not a surprise (one only has to look at her cohorts and watch them apologize for her, except by name). Stop cramming down our throats your campaign to get us to vote you "Best". It feels like you only care about getting the accolade, as opposed to just BEING your best. Lastly, get rid of your slogan, "It's not Big Banking. It's better." Big Banking is not something people have been interested in since circa 2008. If you think by using initials and trying to distract that you are a Credit Union, you are missing the very reason why people should become a member of, and give you business. However, IF YOU ARE trying to outrun Wells Fargo, Chase, BofA,, then keep up with your cumbersome rules, regulations, and confounding website, then promote Vao and hire more people like her. You will win for sure. You just got some advice, for free, that I make a living charging clients a lot of money to hear. You're welcome.

::Voted best credit union, so I gave it a try. Fast, friendly, knowledgeable staff. Great online service. It seems like they have ATM machines on every street corner. Whether it's voted best or not, it's the most convenient financial institution in San Diego.

::Long wait when I call- not enough people @ the branch in hillcrest who know how to show you to use their ATMs or app. I get better service @ my credit union in Minnesota over the their app and over the phone. I always have to go to a branch cause things just don't happen electronically or over the phone.
