  I like the concept and selection. I don't love the lack of different sizes in some areas, but accept that it's part of the model and saves me some money. The produce section and frozen section have impressed me. I really like the hispanic-centric products that many other grocery stores have, although I tend to prefer the family run Carniceria Fiodorlisa nearby for that kind of thing. There are some staffing issues. The meat counter needs to be staffed better, I often have to hunt for help or wait a significantly long time to get service there. I've also found the cashier lines to be rather long, with all but one station empty of cashier staff. Customers seem to be fairly careless with their carts. I really think Save-a-lot would do well to implement the Aldi-style system of carts that hold a $.25 deposit, to encourage the lazy to put the carts back where they belong. It works IMO with the streamlined, low cost model and saves my car and parking spaces from so many carts being dropped throughout the lot.

  Save A Lot has good prices on veggies, fruit, and sale items. But, there was smashed produce on the floor and meat left out by one of the registers. A little messy for being a brand new store.
