This was my first place I went to eat when I got into Boston. It was recommended by the hotel staff as a “must go” and let me tell you it did not disappoint. First off the atmosphere is great and the staff is funny but like a-hole funny. And second the food was delicious, I got the pizza and my friend got the steak, after trying both I would definitely recommend pizza over skewers. All in all it was great!

Over the years Boston has undergone a great deal of change in terms of restaurants with world renowned chefs and new and inventive dishes. Santarpio's Pizza is not one of them. With only 3 menu items, pizza, steak tips, and lamb skewers you're not burdened by choice. The greasy yet crispy NY style pies are slightly overcooked and support the delicious cheese and multitude of toppings. The dive bar aesthetic feels old and lived in, with an authentic charm you won't find in its high dollar contemporaries downtown. Next time you're in East Boston, pop inside for an experience that puts all other pizzerias to shame.

Neighborhood classic beloved by locals. Low prices, decent pie, cheap beer. Expect a wait on the weekends, and have fun with the abrupt manner of the staff. Seriously, it's Boston, their busy, and been doing this forever. Roll with it. You have to respect a classic, and this place delivers just that.

Been going here for 40 years. Food is great. Always. Brought my family for first time. They enjoyed it. New additions to menu. Nice!!! You get what you pay for. Service is cordial and efficient. If you're looking for 5 star dining this isn't it. If you're looking for great food and casual atmosphere. This is the place. I drive 3 1/2 hrs to get here. It's not convenient. Parking can be a challenge. Sometimes you have to wait outside for a table. Especially weekends. But it's worth it. ALWAYS!!!
