  I have been going to Santa Rita Steel for over 20 years. I've seen them grow from a little old house with some metal stacked up in the back yard it to a large warehouse and manufacturing/ fabrication facility. This doesn't happen because of pour business practices. This happens by being kind and patient with the do-it-yourselfers. It seems like the guys behind the counter have been there forever. That only happens when employee's are treated fair and are considered members of the family. The yard guys that come and go over time have always been polite and helpful. I have never had a bad experience at Santa Rita Steel. I would (and do) recommend this business to everyone I know.

  Clearly they do not care for the handyman/home hobbyist. They tend to be arrogant and show little patience if you're making a small purchase. The old F*** at the first desk behind the counter is the worst one at customer service. I used to be a frequent visitor to Santa Rita with small purchases usually under $100, but no more. I'm taking my business elsewhere. A little courtesy and an occasional smile go a long way.
