I came here near closing time and am glad they were willing to still serve me! The last item available they had was the pork sausage banh mi, which was absolutely delicious! I usually don’t drink coffee and decided to try their Hanoichata, the flavor was unique and enjoyable. It is pricier than most Viet restaurants I typically go to, but it’s worth it. Reading the selection of children’s books in the dining area was delightful during my wait. :)

I can't justify it. We tried coming last weekend with my daughter but the line was fairly long and my husband was on his lunch break so we went today. The guy at the counter was super nice. He suggest a pork sandwich which my husband got and I got the grilled pork sandwich. Its was 30 bucks for 2 sandwiches, no sides, no beer no sauces. Just the sandwich alone. My sandwich was pretty good. I love peanut sauce and it had a hint of it. My husband's sandwich was not great. Combined they just weren't worth the price. The atmosphere is chill. Good music. We were the only customers there at the time and they told us about 25 min wait for the food. So I went to grab a board game I saw they had available on the weekend but they didn't have them out today. Idk to me the price didn't match the quality of the food.

UPDATE: Honestly, they could have avoided the 1-star review by not putting me on blast on Instagram/FB and implying that I'm racist for saying their food is overpriced(which it is). Apparently, Chef Reyna Duong has quite a reputation for this kind of thing and I guess I struck a nerve. Anyhow, I was being kind so let me explain; I ordered what the person at the window recommended, "how the chef eats it," according to them. The *báNh mì* (no side) was $18-19(not $12.75) which I happily paid for along with an additional $40-something worth of stuff. So to say that the food is expensive really just means that it wasn't THAT great. I try really hard not to compare restaurants in my reviews but I would be perfectly happy paying $20 for bánh mì at QB(lucky for me it's 1/5th of that). What I had here was just a cheap knockoff at Gordon Ramsay prices despite using the same delicious bread. Also, "too authentic," which is to say that, "not everyone likes that stuff." Nobody is "Asian/white-splaining" anything or saying that the food is or isn't authentic. The owner took one look at me and made all kinds of assumptions. According to the Yelp/Google reviews I'm not even the only person saying that the food isn't stellar, or that it's expensive so I wonder what made MY review stick out. What ever could it be?! Maybe the raisin casserole on my breath? I may not be Vietnamese but like many of your patrons I do know how to eat. If you can't handle an honest review maybe consider a different profession. Good luck! ----- ORIGINAL REVIEW (4-stars): We came here after quite a few people recommended it. It was good but *very* expensive for what you're getting. With that said, I liked the idea of the French baguette for dipping in the curry. The bahn mi didn't have liver paté which was disappointing to me but I understand that may be a little *too* authentic for some people. Overall, it didn't wow me but was still pretty good.

Heard about this place and wanted to see what the sandwiches were all about. Definitely check their hours here and their site. Entrance is around back in the patio area. The staff is attentive and diverse, thank you for the hospitality. A but on the pricey side but worth it, there’s also board games to play while you wait.

1st time trying. I wasn't to sure if they were open because I couldn't find the entrance (It's actually around the back). The food was just okay. I was really expecting more because it is a bit pricey. They also have a limited food menu and sell beer and wine. I thought it was pretty cool that they had board games set out for their customers. I was really enjoying the vibe of the music and the cool breeze yesterday, but it was interrupted by a homeless man propositioning me to join him in the bathroom and to take me home. He totally killed my vibe. Other than that the owners are very polite and attentive. I may give them another try at a later date.
