Literally the most useless and frustrating city office I have dealt with. They always have technical difficulties that end up placing a large burden on those trying to obtain records. The staff I have dealt with over the phone are uninformed, rude, and are incapable of answering basic questions regarding their office. What a disappointment.

Room full of people. Only 4 out of 10 windows open. Parking is also an issue. No sign saying additional parking in rear of building.

Where is my son's Birth Certificate!!? This office is so incredibly disorganized and incompetent. My son is now turning 9 months old and still has not had his birth certificate registered with the state. This also means that he is not registered in the federal system. He has not received a Social Security number. Basically my son is not a US citizen because this office has failed to do their job. I call and call and call the state office in Austin and still nothing has been done. I can't file taxes. He can not get his passport. But worst of all my son can not get the government benefits his should be entitled to as a US citizen. So no medical care for my son! This is a true shame!!! And an embarrassment as a Citizen of the United States. On top of all this the people who work in this office and the passport office and the social security office have all talk to me like I am some criminal. It is the government who has failed me!

Went on a Thursday afternoon. It was fairly crowded but they have a good setup. You check in on a computer to get a number. They called out numbers clearly. Had to wait about 30 minutes, but transaction was smooth. They had a total of ten windows with 5 for passports and 5 for birth/death certificates. Passport windows did not turn over quickly.

Took forever to even call the same letter group my number was in. Ended up spending 2 hours for something that should have taken 30-40 minutes
