::Found a hair in my salad. Order pizza only to have it arrive severely burnt. The man cooked us another, it also came out partially burnt and tasted like nothing! The walls and floors are covered in dirt and sauce of some sorts.

::This place is a nice, honest little place. It's not a grand 5 star restaurant, but if you're looking for a nice place to stop and get a meal, look no further.

::i was in Washington D.C with my class. My friend and i went to Sal's and we got our drinks and ordered our food. 1)The men kept trying to charge us more for everything.2)It was absolutly discusting in there.3) They charged us twice for a soda we already paid for. I paid for my friend because she didnt have enough. He made us pay and now im ticked. We didnt get a recipt which i wanted. He just threw it away. This is a waste of time

::Awful service. I would give them a zero if I could. We told the man we wanted two breakfast sandwiches, a coffee, and an orange juice. We left the orange juice in their fridge so it could stay cold. We paid $14 and waited. After ten minutes, the man starts asking us if we wanted lettuce, tomato, and cheese... on our breakfast sandwiches?? So we questioned him and he was adamant that it was no longer breakfast and he could make us sandwiches. We requested our money back and the man was still adamant that he could make us sandwiches but we wanted breakfast and our money back. The man finally got the hint we want breakfast sandwiches (what we initially paid for) and tells us to wait, he'll go make the eggs. At this point we were beyond frustrated and demanded our money back. We said to give us our money back for the sandwiches and the orange juice. Then the man said we had taken the orange juice. I was beyond frustrated and pointed at their fridge reminding them how we left it so it could stay cold. Finally, the man translates to another man on the register in a different language and only gives us $10 back. On the menu displayed, coffee was listed at $1.50. So here we go again, I argued with the man saying it should be $12 back instead of ten. The coffee certainly didn't taste like Starbucks (a coffee I would spend $4 or more on). Beware of this quick service, count and calculate for yourself the total. They love swindling tourist!

::We always prefer places with personality. We gravitated towards Sal's when everyone else was going to the fast food place down the street. Great Mediterranean street food. Don't come here expecting the four seasons, but expect honest food that tastes good. More conventional dishes available upon request. Reasonably priced.
