  If you are looking for a new salon/ colorist, make an appointment with Kayla today! I have never been picky with my hair stylists until I got my hair completely fried by an awful color job. I came to Kayla and am staying. She is so sweet, easy to talk to, and takes the time to understand exactly what you like. I love my highlights and am always getting compliments on my hair!

  I used to get my hair cut at barbershops because I loved the atmosphere, but I was never happy with the cut. This place provides both - a fun and open atmosphere, and a great cut. Nothing better than having a room full of women to bounce around hairstyle options with.

  I called to ask if they accepted walk ins and I was very surprised and taken aback by the rudeness of the receptionist. She didn't seem to understand what walk ins meant and in a rude fashion said "we're not accepting walk ins at this time..." Completely in the wrong job as you'd expect someone answering a business call would be trained to be more personable....

  My friend suggested I try Kayla at Salon Forty Four, so I called to make an appointment and was, first of all, very pleased with their ability to fit me in at a convenient time on short notice. The salon is nicely decorated, welcoming and clean, and all staff I encountered were super friendly. During our initial color consultation, I explained to Kayla that I prefer something low-maintenance as I am not one to visit every 3 months for color upkeep. She suggested hand-painted blonde highlights that didn't bring it all the way to my root so that I could extend my time in between visits and still have great looking hair. Long story short, I absolutely loved the outcome. Kayla was the first person to suggest this look to me, and I couldn't have been happier with the result. I will 100% be back again.
