::I have been coming here for 5 years now to see Alexis. I'm a guy with longer hair that dreads going someplace new because they typically mess it up. Ali is awesome- I give her free reign to do whatever she wants because it always comes out great. Also is extremely flexible with a person like me who frequently needs last minute bookings.

::Love love love love love the girls at SDC! So much talent in such an adorable Southie hair salon. My main gal is Kimberlee, but Jordan has also worked on my hair and they're both incredible. Can't go wrong by coming here!

::I always have a wonderful experience with all the staff at Salon De Cheveux! The atmosphere and services are excellent and I am always really pleased with my cut/color. Jess takes great care of me!

::I have NEVER been treated so disrespectfully by a salon... When I called the week before my appointment, I said that I needed hair extensions and color for an event on August 1. I also mentioned wanting to discuss make-up application. The woman on the phone scheduled me for an appointment at 6:45 on July 28. I specifically asked about the color and extensions, and she confirmed that it would be possible to do them that week if I could find a way to match up with different employees' schedules... I then called again on the day of to check that the consultation would cover hair extensions and color, and to make sure that the appointment would start at 6:45 p.m. The woman on the phone confirmed this... I first walked into the salon at 6:15 to check in and was surprised to see that it was tiny, loud, cramped, and had an unpleasant odor. The staff invited me to wait for my appointment, but as the only available "seats" were thin cushions on a dirty windowsill, I decided to walk around until 6:45. When I returned, I was then told to wait another 20 minutes. I spent the time going through old, torn-up magazines... More than 20 minutes went by before I was given a seat. After explaining that I was looking for hair extensions for an event on August 1, the stylist said, "Extensions take a month to come in."... Now, with my parents both being cosmetologists and former salon owners, I fully understand that not all salons carry extensions in stock. I responded, "That's OK. I'm sorry to have taken up your time." Then I got up to leave... "Do you need something else?" the stylist asked... "I would be up for discussing make-up," I replied... "OK, I can look into that for you," she said, standing up as I was trying to leave... "Could you do that?" I asked, looking toward the door in hopes of avoiding a conflict... "You seem upset. Are you OK?" she asked, raising her voice... People were turning to look, so I just said, "Well, it's just that I drove a few hours to get here. I don't live in Boston. So, it would have better to know ahead of time."..."Well, MOST people understand that we have to order our hair extensions."... "OK," I said. "Maybe we could talk about clip-in extensions? Would it be possible for me to buy the extensions and your salon to dye my hair to match?"... "That's really extreme, to dye your whole head just for one-day extensions!" she said loudly... "Well, I'm coloring my hair anyway," I explained, glancing toward the door... Then, she really raised her voice and said "You seem angry. I don't feel comfortable working with you!"... I was completely stunned because I had not done anything rude. Yes, I was disappointed about the product I wanted not being in stock, but I hadn't changed my voice, tapped my foot, rolled my eyes, or behaved in any disrespectful manner... With several people now looking, I walked past her to get out the door. I heard her make a sarcastic comment as I left, but I was so embarrassed that I just let the door close behind me... Even writing this review, I still can't believe that what is branded as a higher-end salon could be this disrespectful to a customer, especially over something as minor as a product not being in stock. I felt that I was given whatever information would get me into the salon, told to wait way beyond my appointment time, then pushed into other services and publicly humiliated when I tried leaving quietly... Obviously, I would NOT recommend a salon where this behavior is considered appropriate.

::My last appointment with Kerri was a fabulous one as usual. She always listens to my thoughts and takes a look at my ideas (that I've brought in) and then gives me her honest feedback and thoughts. My haircut and color came out just as we discussed and I LOVED it. I have never had to wait for my appointment, it always has begun on time. At my last appointment she was even able to take me earlier due to a change in my schedule! So helpful! The salon is in a great location and it is very clean. My friends get their hair cut by Kerri now because they've liked my cut and recommendation. I've moved to NJ and I still go back to the salon when I home!
