::Staff is amiable and helpful. Prices are as good or better than most discount outlets. Food is fresh and has quality. The only drawback is the glutin free pastries. The cookies turn hard too soon. Save that, and I would have rated the store a five. Bill Paulson

::Smaller Safeway, has your normal grocery needs at some of the lower prices on Capitol Hill. Not as large it diverse of a store as the Madison Safeway (21st and Madison) but usually has what's needed. Larger then the Qfc on the same street. Safeway does have a public bathroom (with key pad access) that's usually fairly clean. Has a free public parking lot, or catch a main bus line right outside the doors.

::Good selection includes items one can't find anywhere else. Higher prices than most other groceries in town. The store pushed a membership system in order to obtain and track customers and purchases.

::Love this place. The guys who work in the butcher department are some of the friendliest humans I have ever meet. Keep being awesome Safeway!

::Compared 2 most grocery stores in the USA, this one's pretty good. Of course, I live in Seattle. that means, comparatively, this store is a little below average. We have really good supermarkets and grocery stores in Seattle. Still, they have a decent selection of organic and whole/naturalfoods and, often, these foods are offered at pretty decent prices, especially when they are on sale. It's convenient and clean. No major complaints. Of course, I wish that every store would drop all the 'conventional' chemical and garbage-laced frankencrap and stuff that the huge food companies like to call food, but... There are plenty of people who want chemical filled nonsense, I guess. Sad. Safeway has their food (or whatever one might call it) and they also have a lot of mine, too.😀
