  Do not take violin lessons here! At the second session, the teacher showed up late, didn't apologize, didn't greet me, or make up the time!! The price may seem right for these lessons but perhaps they pay their teachers too little which leads to the unprofessional and inadequate teaching! Also, beware of signing a monthly lesson agreement - you may not get your refund if you decide you'd like to discontinue!!! So thoroughly disappointed with Rustic Music there are not enough words to type that could express it adequately.

  this place is amazing! all the people who work at rustic are all so happy to help out and are really nice. ive been taking lessons there for 2 months already and i feel like ive known them for much more than that. everyone that works there help out in every way possible, theyll give you tips and help you out with any questions you may have. And the electric guitar teacher Keith is a great teacher and a great guy aswell. the store owner charlie is great, hes helped me with many thinks ranging from basic things like how to change my strings to thinks like helping me pick out what equipment is best for me. Another guy that is great is ray, hes nice and really helped me better understand the amps there... overall everyone there is really talented and really nice, i only named the people i have spent time talking to but im 100% sure that everyone there is amazing aswell! But most importantly the vibe there is great, you can tell theyre happy to be there and happy to help out anyone that may need help! If you need a music store to go to, you got the best one on the island right here! Not to mention the fact they have a wide variety of instruments, they have everything from les pauls to awesome drum sets to even cow bells! and the best part is, if you want something and they dont have it, then charlie will get it for you. i wanted a schecter omen extreme 6 and he ordered it and i got it in less then a week! this store is everything youll ever need with cheaper prices than most places out there! just start going to rustic, you wont regret it! - Luca Muricy

  Don’t Send Your Child To Anthony For Drum Lessons My 10 year old son recently expressed an interest in taking drum lessons. I was happy to indulge and took him to Rustic as it is only a few minutes from our house. Over the course of his life he has played little league, basketball, ran track, taken Spanish lessons, golf lessons, had academic tutors as well as participating in a myriad of other activities. In all those instances, he has never once had a problem with any of the adult instructors he has encountered…until he had the misfortune of meeting Rustic’s in-house drum instructor Anthony. By nature my son is very even-keeled and very “coachable”. But from the very first lesson, he was turned off by Anthony’s impatience, condescending tone and overall poor attitude. Whenever my son tried to speak, Anthony talked over him and down to him. To add insult to injury he constantly called him about five different names each lesson. Clearly Anthony is burnt out and given his lack of every quality necessary to be a good teacher of children, I would highly recommend you look elsewhere to provide competent drum instruction for your child.
