Excellent and creative food that's always done perfectly. This is one of my go-tos for a great and not overly expensive meal. Their brunch Pizza is amazing! Great cocktails too.

The service in this place is getting worse. I used to always enjoy eating here but I've changed for other options. Some days, the bartenders are just plain rude... One pushed my hand off the bar with a plate as he set it for my food as if it was normal... Today I eaten there and barely got grunts from the bartender. Last week, I heard a waitress make a comment 'finish your drinks and leave' referring to guests sitting outside... This was infront of me to a bartender and the bartender just laughed... In recent months I've sent food back, especially the fries for being cold. I'm really sad this place has gone downhill in the past year. Somebody sort out the bad culture you have with your staff. Russell House used to be so good!

Food was okay, but seemed to focus more on presentation than flavor. The atmosphere was pretty lively - even on a Tuesday night. Service was friendly and prompt. Portion size was about what you'd expect from a slightly upscale restaurant (not quite a whole meal for those of us with healthy appetites), and it would be easy to spend over $100 for two with sides and appetizers or desserts. But you could also keep it a little more reasonable, depending on your order.

Definitely one of the nicer restaurants in Harvard Square. Place is surprisingly large with the downstairs seating AND outdoor space. A bit on the pricey side with only okay food. Definitely would recommend just coming here for some unique drinks! Bartenders are always friendly and fast with service. Keep in mind it is Harvard Square so there is VERY limited parking.

This place had amazing food!!! OJ our bartender bought us an appetizer, the most delicious oysters. What a wonderful welcoming to Boston as Russell House was our first meal in this beautiful city. Then we walked Harvard which is right around the corner! Thanks for a great start to our vacation to Boston Russell House.😁
