::Run 816 isn’t just a place to get some shoes – this is a welcoming and loving home for the runner/walker community; that is the biggest thing I picked up from my visit today (05/27/2018). The staff friendly, helpful and knowledgeable and there were a lot of people who came in from a morning run and every one of them was friendly too. Although I’m completely new to this arena (today was my first purchase of real walking shoes, ever), I was welcomed, offered food and beverage and provided stellar service. The camaraderie is authentic and something to witness.

::Run816 is my go to running store in the Kansas City area. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable and helpful about shoes and all things running. As well, the owners organize weekly runs that are open to runners of all levels. The presence this shop has in the local community is awesome. I HIGHLY recommend Run816 to everyone.

::Great shoe store and friendly staff. They even offered me a beer while I had my fitting! The fit experience was great. They took motion capture of my gait on a treadmill and analyzed my body dynamics. I tried on five or six pair of shoes each with different drop heights to determine which felt best. I was able to use the treadmill and play around with each shoe to help make my decision. At no time did i feel rushed or pressed to pick a pair despite being close to closing time. At the end the guy said I could buy the Sauconys I liked, take them home, and try them out for a week or so to see how I felt. They would gladly exchange them for a wider size or different shoe if it didn't work out. What a return policy! I ultimately ended up doing a special order for the wider size. This is a great business!

::The store has a great variety of running shoes and gear. But more importantly, it is run by the nicest, most awesome and knowledgeable staff in KC! Nick and Tracy have done an amazing job making the running world accessible for both casual runners and elite athletes with their training groups, the Run816 Race Team, and the free weekly runs. They have built a great running community for Kansas City!

::Great local store. The first time I visited Run 816 was after I finally recovered from a leg injury. The staff patiently took their time putting me through their extensive shoe fitting process, to ensure that I would get the correct running shoes. They had me try on several different shoes from several different brands until I found the right shoes for me. While I was there I found out about their free Sunday and Wednesday night group runs, which both are great services for runners. The Sunday run is a long run with aid stations every two miles. The Wednesday runners are speed work, generally done on a local high school track. I started to get involved with the group runs, and the staff at Run 816 gave me advice and wisdom to help me develop into a better runner.
