  We found this place on our last day in New York. I wish we'd found it sooner because it was such a nice place, the staff in particular were so lovely. This was my first cheese grits experience and I loved it! Cheesy poridge... How can you not love it! Loved all the artwork of old world America on the walls.

  Since I’ve discovered this little-hidden coffee gem my life and the love I have for coffee changed for better. The atmosphere is always full of positive energy. The place is warm, cozy and calm for work, read or even just sit and enjoy the moment. Thanks for making this store the top listed must-visit coffee shop in South Slope!!!

  Finally I got lucky and caught a free spot in Roots! (Cuz it’s usually always crowded when I’m passing by. Nice place with friendly staffs. Coffee and pastries are great. Love that they are launching exhibitions of local artists and different musical/poetry events.

  I love this place. Homey and very inviting. I'd stay here for hours with a book if I can. Live music and wall art for sale here. The chai latte is a must try.

  Everything here is amazing. The food and drinks are consistently delicious. My order is never messed up, always on point. The staff are very nice and welcoming to every customer. The environment there is amazing, too. The music played fits perfectly with the small but cozy environment. It's truly a very welcoming and lovely environment with equally lovely food and drinks.
