  A brokerage company set up this trucking company to handle a load for me from the Dallas area to Houston with loading one day and delivery the next day. When loading this truck, my crew ran over the standard load time of 2 hours and took about 2.5 - 3 hours to load. This company demanded a $30 detention payment be made for the longer loading time. Next day, this truck was supposed to make delivery to my Houston warehouse at 10:00am. -Noon time, no truck. Broker tried calling with no one answering the phone...not even the driver. 2:00pm, no truck. Broker has continually tried calling with no one answering their phone. This entire time I am paying temp labor for doing nothing while waiting for this truck. -2:15pm I call the company and a woman answers. She verifies my load and promised to call me back. She never calls me back. -3:00pm and the broker finally gets ahold of someone at the company and is given no guarantee of when the truck will arrive. I told the broker to have them just deliver next day. I let my temp help go home with no work being done yet lots of money out of my pocket. -Next day at 10:00am (24 HOURS LATE) the truck arrives and I again had to pay temp labor to help. So...this company demands that I pay a $30 detention fee for loading time a little longer than two hours but REFUSED to pay me anything for being late 24 hours for unload.
