  Guys here are awesome. I had some trouble with my flight and arrived after midnight, everything was set up and had kids issues. The room was great.

  Low cost lodging with a very minimal breakfast like granola bars and fruit and coffee but good. Private rooms or bunk rooms. Friendly staff. A nlock from starstarbucks.

  Attacked by bedbugs. Manager knows there's an infestation but will only change a mattresses that have been reported. No compensation was offered for the injuries received by this place.

  Just keep in mind that it's a hostel, not a hotel. With that in mind, I really liked staying here. Fun, nice people, some freaks...a total adventure! Liked the location, too. Close to Balboa Park, downtown, Hillcrest. Spacious, too - not claustrophobic like some I've been to.

  You get what you pay for...most of the time, NO ONE man's the front desk. You might shoe up at 2pm, and front desk person comes in and out arbitrarily and might show up until 5pm..happened to me. Also they charge a 10 dollar key fee, upon return of key, they credit you back. They never credited me back anything..i tired calling the front desk, You can't get anybody..also they were making copy of my drivers license and left it on the copy machine..i had to come back the next day to get it returned to me. Sloppy joint..be careful. I'm forfeiting the 10 dollars bc I can't even get a hold of anybody there now
