::The BEST deal in town. Eclectic films for all ages. Gets the most recent films. Is so committed to our community. Affordable. Sound system is utterly amazing. Stadium seating. Staff are so customer friendly. Just adore Riverview! Have been a fan for almost for forty years!!! Can't say enough! And thanks for all the World Cup coverage over the years; extremely grateful. And especially love the kid's movies during summer. There is ALWAYS something for someone. Thank you, Riverview Theatre!!!

::Honestly, I love this vintage movie theater so much I have literally driven across town to see a film here. You have to keep checking their website regularly because the shows change regular and you can see old movies here that you would never have the opportunity to see anywhere else. Yeah the parking sucks. Sometimes you have to park blocks away on the side streets. Yet its not really Riverview's fault. What could they honestly do about the parking even if they wanted to? At least the parking is free. Personally I feel bad for those that live near there. All this is a testament to this theaters popularity. Concessions are not a total rip off like most places. I respect that so I spend more here on food and drinks then I would anywhere else. Riverview theater, they just don't make them like this anymore.

::This place is a neighborhood treasure boasting original furniture and design dating back to the 1950’s yet with all the modern conveniences. Once you enter the lobby it’s like stepping into a time warp. The theater itself is quite large and featured stadium seating with plush comfortable reclining chairs. At $2 per movie ticket, and $3 for evening shows of course the films are a bit past their original wide releases but there is always something playing that I want to see and the price simply can’t be beat. Every time I go, even on a Wednesday evening, it seems to be well attended. I’m so glad this theater is here and I hope it continues to thrive. If you haven’t seen a movie here yet definitely check it out.

::What's not to like about this place? Unless you like butter flavored oil on your popcorn instead of real butter. Or maybe you like donating a kidney to cover the cost of your favorite multiplex theater. This theater has a great sound system in it, great concession stand with excellent prices. $20 will get you and another person in the door and get you something to drink & snack on.

::I just love everything about this theater. It's vintage and historic. Tickets are cheap. It's a great member of the community. Snacks are affordable and delicious. The seats are (for the most part) comfortable and the screen and sound system very good. And it's in my neck of the woods (if not in my 'neighborhood') and going there always makes me feel like I'm part of a community gathering. Kudos to the folks running this place. The Riverview is part of what makes me crazy happy to be in South Minneapolis.
