  All my visits to this store have been pleasant and the staff is always friendly & helpful. I'm writing this review not about the store, but about the bold shoplifter I just saw who calmly walked in with a large plastic grocery bag and emptied an entire section in the aisle as I stood there looking for pantyhose. I refused to believe the obvious because the act was so incredibly bold and irreconcilable in my head. I reasoned that he must be an employee. But alas, just as boldly as he walked in with an empty bag, he walked out with it filled to the brim -- not paying one red cent. Of course, the alarm sounded which only marginally motivated him to quicken his pace as he calmly got on his bike (or a bike) and pedaled away. This makes me extremely angry. Why? ... because yesterday I was profiled and stalked in a neighborhood shop and treated like a common thief from the moment I entered the store. Needless to say, I won't go there again. But, witnessing this young, clean-shaven, well-dressed black man commit such a disgusting act with me standing right there, I understand now how the ignorant remain ignorant in the misperception that all black people are thieves. But here is the truth: not all black people are thieves, just as not all people of any race are honest. Thieves come in all colors, shapes and sizes. But, when I see black men and women do what I witnessed this morning, I am disgusted. They are as much to blame as anyone for the humiliating and disrespectful treatment i suffered yesterday from those young white clerks in Urban Dwell. As an honest, hard working black person, I implore the young man I saw this morning to stop selling yourself short -- God didn't create you to be a lowly thief. Stop It! I beg the store clerks at Urban Dwell to stop being ignorant. While you are stalking me, someone you least suspect is robbing you blind.

  What a great store! Clean, well stocked, with very friendly employees. I especially want to thank Aryzell for helping me pick out all those items to put in the "bathroom baskets" for my daughter's upcoming wedding. Thanks for your help! I had already walked out of CVS because it was a mess and luckily found this store right round the corner from the Washington Hilton.
