Retrofit is a clever design store. We have bought a few things here that are truly distinctive from other design stores. The salespersons are so kind and helpful as to whether items will work in your place. Highly recommend this place and they do have things at every price point.

I’ll be honest. I come here because I need to buy a card and gift. Likely, I should have bought that card a week before hand. But here I am. Retrofit enables this by having a good selection of unique cards that look like I put more thought into it than I did. There are many other non-card based things here. I bought my living rug here, it’s dope. I’ve gotten other things as well. But I just bought more cards for Mother’s Day and it’s top of mind. You should send your Mom more cards.

This is a neat little store in a good location. The buyers have a good eye and the selection is always great. Proprietors are friendly and helpful every time I visit. If you're looking for little tchotchkes or accessories for the home I recommend you stop on by and give this local business some support. They stock some really unique items and clearly put a lot of work into making their store inviting and pleasant. Their furniture selection is thoughtfully varied but the build quality of the pieces I looked at were middle of the road, some approaching cheap. Also furniture prices were unexplainably high for the quality. (hence the 4 stars instead of 5). Still though Retrofit is a gem and they deserve your business. Stop on by!

This place is totally awesome. The prices are fair ... Which is not very common. The staff are extremely helpful. They have tons of knick knacks and furniture to choose from. Definitely a great place to get some random trinkets or decor!

Quite heavenly! A perfect space for home decor and unique items for the eccentric and fun individual. If you're in Capitol Hill and love the art space, it's a must visit, even if it's just for window shopping.
