Before I knew anything about the hotel rooms, what they had inside, how comfortable the beds were, I met Fanny. We arrived at the hotel early, I was advised that neither of the two rooms we reserved were ready (about 12:30) and that check in was at 3 pm. I rolled my husband to a comfortable spot in the lobby and then I took a seat. My husband is totally disabled and diabetic, it was close to lunch time for him. I remember I had a drink he could have, but no straw. I take him to restroom come out --to be honest with you I was exhausted and just wanted to scream. I head over to breakfast area where there is a lady mopping. I ask the lady if she has a coffee stirrer or a straw? She ask which one I said which ever is closets? I said stirrer because some are like little straws however; she brings me the stirrer and it is wooden. So then I say I am sorry do you have a straw? She goes and comes back with the straw I thank her with tears about to fall from my eyes--she lays her mop to the side and ask if she could give me a HUG! I broke down in tears. FANNY thank you so much, I needed that hug more that you will ever know. You set the tone for our stay. Anything that didn't go well at the hotel does not matter, and I won't even mention it, your kindness was exemplary! Thank you!

Xavier from the front desk was very helpful and friendly! Room was clean and updated. Amenities were nice and the location is located near plenty of restaurants and shops. Only negative is that the parking garage for the hotel costs money. Just figured the parking would be included in your reservation for a garage the hotel owns.

I stayed here while attending a conference at the Gaylord across the street. First off, I only paid about half what I would have for a room at the Gaylord. Check in was a breeze- less than two minutes. The room was clean and well-maintained and had everything you'd expect where you'd expect it. The kitchen was efficient and got the job done. The bed was comfortable and clean. The bathtub was a little on the small side, but the shower had good pressure and nice hot water. Staff was friendly throughout my stay. About the only real problem was that the TV signal had a tendency to fizzle out at random. I like to watch the news as I go to sleep and it was distracting when a report or commercial would suddenly freeze for several seconds. Looking at the poor reviews for them, most of the complaints were for policies and other things that are posted on the website when you reserve the room. I had a great stay and this is going to be my go-to hotel if I make it back into this area.

I highly recommend and wish I could give more stars. My husband and I traveled to DC and spent a night at this hotel and we were very pleased with everything. First impression means a lot and this hotel nailed it. It’s warm- welcoming. super clean and the breakfast bar on our way out the next morning was the icing on the cake for me. The food was great and they have a variety of options too. Everyone was very friendly from our check in to our checkout. Rochelle and Leanne were helpful, professional and knowledgeable on everything we asked about. They even went above and beyond to gIve us some helpful suggestions that will make our next visit more enjoyable and pleasant. I could tell that these ladies their jobs.

I wish I had gotten her name to put it in the review but a very nice woman let me check in early while on a epic adventure. The rooms here are incredible, I didn't want to leave. Worth every penny, the neighborhood is very nice with tons of restaurants, great hotel, wish there was more then five stars.
