  A real Jiu Jitsu community with no-nonsense Professor Julio from Brazil. He doesn't care if you're tired and barks commands at you while you're grappling: "Back yo knees! Back you knees! Omaplata, OMAPLATA!" Lots of local police and college students. I have passed by the kids' classes with moms & dads watching from the mat, happy, having fun. Awesome dojo

  I have not been involved in martial arts since I was 15, 26 years ago, and Professor Julio Cruz has created the right atmosphere for me to learn jiujitsu. His classes have helped me get back into shape after 10 years of little to no exercise. I lost 46 pounds my first year training, just 2 times per week, and as a result I'm stronger today . One of the many benefits of training with Professor Julio is that he attracts people of good character who genuinely want to see you be successful. We've had many bbq's and parties in the past 1 1/2 that I've trained at westchesterrenzogracie, celebrating birthdays and promotions and often we get together to support each other in tournaments.   I've studied martial arts over the last 20 years with various teachers in multiple styles. Studying at Renzo Gracie Westchester is the most positive experience I've ever had for many reasons.
