  After 3 years of trying to make this work I am giving up on Renaissance. The guys are all experienced but they don't take direction, so you never know what you're going to walk out with. I also don't understand their obsession with "thinning it out." If I wanted thinner hair I would take up smoking again.

  I could have done a better cut myself w/ both eyes closed. Tony seems like a nice guy and has been doing the job for awhile, but after explaining what I wanted, he just buzzed my head with a #4. Previous to my now military haircut, my hair was longer and parted to the side. Tony referred to my existing haircut as pompadour, and that he fixed my hair by giving me the modern "Caesar Salad" haircut that all the young men in the summer wear. Then he politely charged me $45. Worst experience ever.

  Great place. I got a cut and a shave and it came out great. My skin is a bit... difficult and they still did an amazing job. This is the smoothest shave I have had in a while and the hair cut looks great. This will be my new barber. They pull out all the stops for the shave too. I've never had so much put into a shave and I thought I was over the top when I shave myself. One thing I would like to note is that they are on 51st near the currency exchange. I had a bit of trouble finding it until I pulled up a map.

  I've always wanted a professional shave, but no one seems to do it anymore. These guys still do, and it was a great experience that every man should have at least once. These are the guys to do it! And they open at 7 so you can stop in on your way to the office!
